Following up on the cancelation of the Evoke for MetroPCS, Alltel has launched its version of the high-end slider.
The slider features a large 2.8 inch QVGA resolution touchscreen display, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, microSDHC expansion slot, media player, GPS support via Alltel Navigator, speakerphone, Bluetooth with stereo audio support and support for social networks via a built-in application.
The phone is now available for $249.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $100 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $99.99.

Sofmap’s Digital Olive is an MP3 player with removable speakers. Weighing at 275 grams, the gadget is available in Japan from July 24th, 2007 and comes in four shades. Its price tag is only $50 each. ChrisTek and Epixx have released iPSP, which is an Apple iPhone interface for the Sony PSP. The program replaces the default “media crossbar” with a simplified iPhone menu and adds several of the usual applications including calendar, instant messaging, web browser, and mail… and you don’t have to pay someone to unlock these features. You can download the software for free, so you can save some money (but you still won’t be able to save yourself from the iPhone hype).
