HTC’s 5800 is a powerful, EVDO-capable, entry into the PDA market. With a candy bar form factor and slide-out full QWERTY keyboard, the 5800 maintains a comfortable size (4.07” x 2.01” x 0.76”), without sacrificing functionality. When closed, the 5800 has the standard 12-key keypad, and additional buttons are placed in familiar places. The HTC 5800 runs on the now standard Windows Mobile 6 OS, and the 2.4” display lists recently used apps along the top, and text and voicemail alerts below.

The Samsung SPH-M300 has an adorable oval shape, and though it’s small it comes with a set of features people actually use. Measuring 3.5”x1.9”x0.7” and weighing only 2.6 ounces, the M300 comes in a choice of dark silver or misty-rose red (Any color that has more than two words makes me plum fiery purple green with anger!)

LG has had quite a run with its Chocolate series and now the Shine. Interestingly, the Shine is in some ways a hybrid between the successful “shiny” phone series and the form factor of the LG Chocolate. Unfortunately, the result is a posh fashion accessory that is none too easy to use.
