According to PC World they have confirmed with the company that they have plans of releasing their first Android Smartphone by the first quarter of 2010 plus a Asustek executive also added that it could even be earlier.
The company isn’t saying much at the moment but we are really looking to see if the company’s first Android-based smartphone will have a personalized interface for Android, or just the standard appearance of the operating system.

Although announced earlier this month, we’ve garnered more complete details of the Garmin-ASUS nuvifone G60. The linux-powered smartphone offers a large, 3.55-inch WQVGA touchscreen display to show off its advanced navigation services. Its easy navigated, touch-based operating system offers a simplistic way to make calls, perform local searches, and find locations using the phone’s GPS chipset.
By all reports, the Asus Eee PC is selling well, but nevertheless there have been a few who have passed on this device because it lacks a touchscreen. These people should be pleased to hear that one of this mini laptop’s second generation models will reportedly have what they want.
According to DigiTimes, Asus will launch versions of the Eee PC later this year with 8-, 9-, and 10-inch displays. Only one of these, the 9-inch version, will be a touchscreen. Currently, this device is available only with a 7-inch display.

Asus has taken the wraps off the P735, a handheld with support for UMTS, a 3G cellular-wireless networking standard.
