HTC has announced the Legend Android 2.1 Phone, this new smartphones features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 320×480 resolution and features a designed that looks like a redesigned HTC Hero running Android 2.1 Eclair with the enhanced HTC Sense. Other specs includes a G-sensor, Digital compass, proximity sensor and a optical joystick instead of a trackball. There is also a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and a microSD/SDHC slot.

HTC revealed its new HTC Desire smartphone, an Android 2.1 (Eclair) smart phone that’s powered by a zippy 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that’s Flash 10.1 ready. The Desire looks a bit like the HTC Hero, somewhat like a Nexus One with HTC Sense. It features a new optical joystick for navigating menus, a large 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display with multitouch support, and HTC’s brand new version of its popular Sense user interface.

The HTC HD2 will be getting an accessory that will double its battery life and enable it to stand up in either portrait or a landscape orientation for viewing videos. The HD2 battery comes from the UK electronics retailer Clove, it is basically a thicker battery that replaces the regular ones and has a longer battery life with a kickstand.

The DROID Eris for Verizon Wireless touch controls, the 3 devices share the same basic hardware, including very nice 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen displays with half VGA (320 x 480 pixel) resolution. The displays, and the user interface that runs on them, are very responsive and easy to use. The DROID Eris features a miniUSB connector for charging and USB connections to a PC, and each have a regular 3.5mm headphone jack for use with regular headphones. Both devices also feature a microSDHC memory card slot underneath the rear cover.
