HTC has announced the Legend Android 2.1 Phone, this new smartphones features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 320×480 resolution and features a designed that looks like a redesigned HTC Hero running Android 2.1 Eclair with the enhanced HTC Sense. Other specs includes a G-sensor, Digital compass, proximity sensor and a optical joystick instead of a trackball. There is also a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and a microSD/SDHC slot.

Huawei announced that it is showcasing the first high speed packet access evolved (HSPA+) Android powered smartphone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The U8800 runs Android 2.1 (Eclair) and has a 3.8-inch display. According to Huawei, the phone can achieve downlink speeds up to 14Mbps, or the equivalent speed of downloading a 400Mb film in 30 seconds.
